To comply with new regulations about the use of derivative instruments, Susan Mangiero was asked by General Electric senior management to research the use of futures, options, swaps, and structured products by its U.S. and non-U.S. operating units. Additionally, she was tasked with ghostwriting educational materials to be used for online training of global employees who worked in accounting, compliance, legal, tax, and treasury. She worked extensively with General Electric external and internal auditors.
